When I started up the Lil & Izzy brand I wanted it to be one that was true to our ethos & values as a family. I wanted my brand to be honest & kind from the start, teaching my daughters to be grateful for all the good things in our life and understand how important it is to give something back when you can.
On the 1st of September 2020 we launched our exclusive Limited Edition Hero Print in our zip baby grow with all profits going to The Gavin Glynn Foundation, helping families all over Ireland battling childhood cancer.
Our friend Zoe has a daughter called Georgia who at 22 months old was due to fly to the USA for life saving cancer treatment in March 2020. On the day they were due to travel, all flights to the USA were cancelled because of Covid19. It was devastating news, as a mother, I can’t even imagine having to go through that. The Gavin Glynn Foundation saved her, they helped get Georgia to Great Ormond Street Hospital in the UK. They organised all the transport, accommodation – everything. Georgia is now home & recovering well, looking forward to a bright future ahead of her. She is the face of our Hero Campaign, smiling and full of life.
The Gavin Glynn Foundation rely on donations, they receive no government funding. Knowing that they helped save Georgia’s life, we want to raise as much money for them as possible so they can help and support more families in Ireland battling childhood cancer. So far, we have donated over €2000 to this amazing charity!
I am lucky to know so many talented ladies that have helped make this idea a reality. They have given up their precious time for free, using their creative talents to make this campaign a success. I am forever grateful to Laura from Pickled Pom Pom for collaborating with me on this project & bringing my idea to life.
Also to the fabulous Annie Thompson, who took the most beautiful photographs for us to treasure and promote this collaboration.
We also donate our samples and end of line stock to Ark Housing Charity Shop in Bray Co Wicklow. We believe in supporting our local community and reducing our impact on the environment.
Much love to you all,
